Buzz Creative Studio is a small but mighty independent agency built on creativity, collaboration and a genuine love for doing brilliant work that matters. With a close team of designers, marketers and strategists, we deliver imaginative campaigns, smart thinking and design that never slips into beige.
We work with a wide and varied range of clients, from restaurants and hotels to cocktail bars, festivals and charities, with a particular soft spot for high-end hospitality and luxury lifestyle brands.
About you
You're at the start of your design career and you want to get good, fast. Maybe you've just finished a design degree or course, maybe you've had a year somewhere and want to be in a studio that takes the craft seriously. Either way, you've got good instincts, a portfolio that shows you care about type and layout, and the kind of curiosity that asks "why does that work?" rather than just copying it.
You don't need to know everything yet. We'd much rather you were honest about what you don't know and quick to learn it. What we can't teach is taste and attitude - so bring those.
What You'll Be Doing
Brand & Design
-
Designing across print, digital and social - social posts, menus, flyers, brochures, web graphics and your own pieces of bigger brand projects
-
Taking briefs from our Creative Director and senior designers, turning them into first drafts, then making them better with feedback
-
Rolling out existing brands so every asset looks like it belongs to the same family
-
Preparing files properly for print and digital - right size, right format, right colours, first time
-
Bringing your own ideas to the table. Junior doesn't mean silent.
Studio Life
-
Working day to day with our design, marketing and web teams
-
Sitting in on client briefings and presentations so you learn how work gets sold as well as made
-
Helping keep the studio organised - templates, asset libraries, file naming. The unglamorous bits everyone benefits from.
What You'll Need
-
A portfolio that shows real care for typography, layout and composition - student work, personal projects and freelance all count
-
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
-
A degree, diploma or equivalent in graphic design, or a portfolio strong enough that we don't mind
-
Sharp attention to detail and the honesty to say when something's not right
-
Openness to feedback - you'll get plenty, and it's how you'll get good
-
The right to live and work in Guernsey
Bonus points if:
-
You've done a placement, internship or a year in a studio or in-house team
-
You've dabbled in motion, animation or illustration
-
You can shoot decent photo and video on the fly
-
You've got a genuine interest in hospitality, food and drink or lifestyle brands
What You'll Get
-
A full-time, paid role based in town in Guernsey
-
Proper mentoring from our Creative Director and senior designers - real feedback on real client work, not watching from the sidelines
-
A genuinely fun team that works hard and laughs harder
-
Exposure to brilliant clients in hospitality, lifestyle and beyond from your first week
-
Real progression - nearly everyone in the studio joined us early in their career and has grown into their role from the inside. That's how we like to do it.
